Had to change the rear sight on the B92 .357

I prefer to shoot heavier bullets, 180gr-200gr, through the B92 .357. I found the factory rear sight is entirely too short for my purpose. The bullet impact is much lower than the point of aim. The factory rear sight measures .155" from the bottom of the notch to the base of the sight. I ordered a Marbles full buck horn carbine length replacement that measures .300-.510. The notch on the Marbles unit is adjustable. The Marbles replacement has brought the point of impact in line with the point of aim. I posted this just in case any of you fellas have had similar a experience. The Midwayusa product number is 323720. Regards, 1886.

I want to call them first and make sure the folding sight has the right
Sized dove tail.

Which bullet weight have you found shoot
the best out of your 92, the 180gr. or the 200gr

I have had great results with the Cast Perf. 200gr WFNGC and the Mt.Baldy 200gr KTGC. Both bullets are sized .358" and require an expander sized about .004" smaller than bullet diameter. I use a healthy dose of H-110 and CCI small pistol mag. primers. ( I have read many times the virtues of Lil'Gun but have had unsatisfactory results with this powder. Accuracy is not close to H-110/296. I have tried many primer combos, compression rates, expander sizes, etc). I load to 1.590" OAL. Either bullet is too expensive for plinking. I use a Speer 158gr KT for casual plinking. I load to about 950fps. This bullet requires the use of an expander sized .358" as they are very soft. A larger expander will swage this bullet down. The 158gr load shoots a little lower but a simple ladder adjustment corrects the point of impact. Regards, 1886.

I use the same combo on a B 86 .45-90 Mic built for me. It works well enough but I am not a big fan of a tang sight on heavy recoiling rifle. I can not wrap my thumb over the wrist of the stock unless I wear shooting gloves. The tang sight base will bite. You will probably be happy with that sight combo on your 92. Best Wishes, 1886.

Don't be concerned. Browning used the standard 3/8" dovetail, and the sight will fit, although (as with many replacement sights) it may need slight fitting.

I would like to replace the rear sight on my 44 B92 with a patridge type sight. I have one from a PUMA 92, has anyone tried this?

AFAIK, some of the South American M92's (if not most) have non-standard dovetails, with only the latest production having the standard 3/8" size.

I'm sure Nate "Kiowa" Jones will chime in with particulars, if he sees this thread - as he is expert on the M92 clones.
