Price Check - BL-22

Post by SJPrice »

Okay I found a Browning BL-22 Grade II today at a local shop. It appears to be in new condition with no handling marks at all. They are asking $399.00. Seems fair to me but I am not real familiar with the prices of 22 levers. How does the Browning compare to the other choices from Marlin, Winchester or Henry?

I am amazed that there are no 22 rimfire experts around this afternoon?

It's a little high, but if you want it?
The short lever throw is pretty slick too.

For around here that's a deal!

Great little rifles! For $399 I'd jump on it.

The lowest price I have seen recently is $389 for a grade 2. The catch is that shipping and insurance are tacked onto that, plus FFL fees. Sounds like $399 FTF is a pretty good price to me.

Very fair price, for a "Grade II".
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

I think they are great little guns and that price sounds reasonable.

I know of a 99% Grade II at a dealer's for $389. So $399 might be spot on. Bottom line...buy it if you want it! $10 or $20 either way won't make a bit of difference once you've caressed it and shot cloverleafs at the range or maybe a few squirrels with it. Don't forget the shipping and transfer fees you're saving. That's right. It's the new economy: spend money to save money!

If you like the Browning's smaller relative size (compared to say the 9422) and design (the mag tube stands away from the barrel, and so appears skinny) - you'll find that a Grade II is MUCH nicer than a Grade I, with better wood (WITH checkering), engraving, and metal finish B4 bluing.

$400 is a decent cost to pay for one in that condition, no question in my mind.
