B 92 parts

Post by 1886 »

Just an FYI. I picked up a B92 .357 recently from a forum member. The mag. tube was a little buggered around the mag. cap screw so being the totally anal, picky S.O.B. that I am, I decided to replace the tube if it was not going to be too expensive. I called around and found these folks http://www.westerngunparts.com/. Great service and good prices. 1886.

So did you buy their catalog? Or just call or e-mail them?

I learned of them through Mid West Gun Parts. I have purchased B 86 parts from M.W.G.P. in the past so I called them first. They "no gots" the parts and suggested the above folks. 1886.

I have purchased 1886 parts from Western that Winchester will sell only to their "special gunsmiths" and Midwest did not have in stock. Excellent and fast service.:D

I have a B-92 .44 mag that I bought back in the 80s. 1st time I took it out I somehow broke the loading gate. I tryed getting one from the dealer and they wouldnt just sell me it unless I had their gunsmith install it. At the time I was poor AND a cheapskate. I had owned a old winchester 92 that I had tore apart and knew it wasnt brain surgery and could do it myself. I had a friend that ran a different store and got him to order a new gate. They ARE different! The winchester is two piece, the browning is just one piece. On the winchester the spring is seperet, and I think better. It was simple to install.
I am bidding on that new B-92 .357 in the box that was posted under the "ouch" thread the other day.
