In case you were wondering "Where'd they go?"

Post by AmBraCol »

The system outage last night was from a "Denial of Service" attack on the server on which the forum files reside. The hosting company was on top of it when the system froze. It took them a few hours to sort through it all, restore from backups and reboot everything. We're now up and running normally (as you can tell). I'm sure glad it was them and not me trying to sort through all of that. We'd STILL be down if the ball were in my court. Just so y'all recall, you can check Hobie's blog for notices on outages. I send him info once I find it out and he updates progress reports over there. We do both have a life, though, so sometimes it take a little while. Anyway, I'm just glad to see we're up and running again. :) Y'all have a great day!

It happens, so I wasn't particilarly panicked over a couple of hours. Thanks for, ironing it out so fast. :)

I know I had several PMs. If you tried to send me a PM it was lost in the melee so resend it.

I woke up in the middle of the night and tried to get on.

I did have other places to go but this was my first choice.

Glad to see it's up, & running.
