OT kinder, type in,,,,

Post by Nath »

guntrader.co.uk and go to the forums. You will see what I'm up against!

One of my favourites is the black powder section, dear Lord.

In another section a new Marlin user was asking for information and I wanted to join so badly to help but I just can not do it. It's just to embarrasing!

I look at Guntrader UK quite often but only the "for sale" section.
Never looked at the Forums. Funny how so many so called shooters seem to invent restrictions on firearms that even the government haven't come up with! As for all the "final warnings for insults etc." what's that all about?

Nath, I looked around the site a little bit but couldn't locate the blackpowder section. Can you give me a hint.

It also stikes me how the gun owners become players in an ever narrowing game (it's the only one in town). The rules are the rules and the discussions no longer argue outside the current processes.

The highly regulated and restricted possession of a few selected firearms has become the new status quo. Most arguments even take on moral tone of "this is the way it ought to be" and to rebel against this tyranny invites chaos.

We are on the same path, just not as far down the road.

I've sometimes been hesitant to be around folks who like 'vintage' guns or 'classics' because although I'm interested in those guns, I don't like being around people who will treat me like some kind of terrorist because I ALSO have an appreciation for the aesthetics and history of Garands, AR-15's, and the semiauto versions of the AK-47. That kind of attitude is especially prevalent among some of the vintage/classic gun collectors I've met.

This leverguns forum is one of the few 'gun' places I've seen where the members seem to understand and accept the fact that although there IS something special about a vintage classic levergun, it is NOT somehow morally superior to an AR-15. Prettier, just like to me a 1968 Mustang is far prettier than a 2008 Corvette, but to each his/her own.

I know how you feel Doc, I happen to think my old M1 is a pretty classy looking piece of steel and walnut, just a little different than my 1892 Winchester 32wcf.

Gun snobs are no friends of any firearms owners - no matter where you find them. There are many guns I am interested in. Some, like lever-actions, I am darn-near obsessed with. Others I don't care for much - but I'll never disparrage anyone's interest in them and as long as they support me as well, we are brothers in arms.

I know it is home to you fellows, but I don't see how y'all can stand to stay and see the sheeple overrun your country.

I encountered on another forum a jerk who claims to work for the firearms registry division of the Constabulary, and he uses the word "hunter" as if it were a dirty word.

You fellows should emigrate and help us fight to prevent the same sort of stuff from happening in the USA.

1977 Corvettes were the last ones that really looked good anyway.

I never liked the "Mako Shark" Corvettes. Just don't appeal to me. I like the '53-'57, the '63-'67, and '83-up. And lever guns!

I poked around a bit but didn't come accross anything real bad, but I will look again later. I didn't have to decipher very much lingo either.

Kimwcook, without looking again was it the one under the airgun section, second one down on the list.

Guys, I particular liked the one about shooting dogs worrying sheep, don't ask where it is please as I am feeling ok tonight and don't wish to get upset
