Range day - Vegas History

Post by salvo »

My neighbor dropped by this morning and asked if I wanted to go shooting, kinda a stupid question to ask me
I brought my puma .357 that I chopped the barrel on, I needed to sight it in. I also brought Pugslie, my chopped 1895 guide gun, it is always a fun gun shoot and one EBR Galil in .223. For handguns 9mm Glock 17, .357 Ruger 50th Flat Top and a Ruger MKII slab side.
Ryan my neighbor brought a heavy barrel Ruger 10/22, custom heavy barrel chambered in .44 auto mag, 9mm H&K and he also brought a very collectible Colt 32 auto that was owned by Bugsy Siegel himself, he has all the documentation to go with it. His dad bought it in the 70's for a couple K's. I told him he was crazy to be shooting and then asked were is the ammo :D

The puma was almost dead on only needed to move the rear side a bit to the right and it was on.

Did not take any other pictures, but we sure did shoot up a lot of ammo today.

THAT COLT IS A 25ACP, NOT A 32ACP PISTOL.

Colt Vest Pocket model, IIRC.

Sure looks and sounds like a lot of fun Scott. Looks like the weather is good too - short sleeves, but I bet it is not too hot. Perfect weather for shooting!!!

where were you shooting about? looks familiar, but then sometimes it all looks the same. I like your 45/70, keep threatening to bob my GS but no momentum in that direction yet.

I'm sure you are correct Terry, I'm not much up on small pistols.

What I was wondering is where are the pictures of your feet? I didn't realize it was possible to take a photo of a gun and not include one's feet!

YK, it was a beautiful day, I was telling my neighbor that I was happy winter finally made it here :D And I think summer is good for reloading and winter is for shooting it!

Grizz, I have a little range set up about 20 min. South of Vegas off of I-15.

Grizz, Boulder City is still a nice town and a great place to live. I was born in 1959 at St. George, Utah and moved to Vegas before I was a year old. I can not recall any above ground tests but I sure remember all the underground testing. I have a lot of family in Southern Utah that have died of cancer from being down wind of those above ground tests.
