218 bee
Is Winchester factory 218 bee safe in tubular magazines? It looks pretty pointed.

Re: 218 bee
I just wouldnt want to drop the rifle to find out, but normaly I would think okay, as there is no recoil.
Re: 218 bee
Even the factory 218 Bee bullets are semi pointed but I have had no problems in a 94 Marlin. Sinnce there is no recoil the only way a pointed bulllet could cause problems is if you dropped the rifle muzzle down and i think you would have to drop it off a cliff.

Don't worry about it friend, just how is a soft tipped bullet going to impart the same level of percussion as a steel pin and hammer. It ain't gonna happen.

It's the same for the old Winchester 60 grain OPEs that I have been shooting in my '92 25-20s for MANY years. Definitely NOT an issue, otherwise they would not have produced and loaded them.

MADE for the levergun and good to go. The Bee is a wonderful cartridge.

I believe that could be a very dangerous situation. Best just box up rifle and ammo, send to me, and I will conduct a very thorough series of tests to determine the risk involved. It could take up to several years to complete the study, then I will return the rifle to you.
