While looking at that 1878 Rifle, I can give Winchester Kudos for taking a diamond in the rough and making it a classic. If you look at the design differences between that rifle and the M1885 Winchester you can really appreciate the role Winchester played in that partnership. It's pretty cool to see the progression from the early design to the final design.

Really amazing pieces of firearms history.

Prices don't even seem that out of line for what they represent.
