A 50yd shot this morning (or late afternoon for most of you).

The 22 also took three squirl and three pigeon today.
I missed a 100yd plus crow and a jay today though.
Filthy weather today, strong winds and rain/sleet and cold.

I was surprised to see those in California in the Bay Area when I went to visit my sis, an invasive species from what I gather.

Sharp eyed little boogers too, the ones around home keep 100 yds away and then fly off if they see me in the window straight up!

When I was a kid, and had a 6mm Rem varmint rifle, and a 12 gauge shotgun, the crows would sit 100 yards away when I had the shotgun, but if I went outside with the rifle, they flew over my head and cawed. Smart - just like the magpies!

Its a grenade launcher that mounts onto the top of the rifle, you can tell that by the sheer size of it.

Nath, he's kind of a pretty murdering thief, seems like a guy could tie some flys or decorate a hand band or something with those iridescent feathers. We don't have magpies in Indiana. Don't let them tease you about the scope, most of my leversguns wear scopes.

Gi, the Yellow Billed Magpie is indigenous to the valleys and foothills west of the Sierra Nevada Mts. They are on the wane because of West Nile Virus and declining habitat. East of there you will find the far more common Black Billed Magpie, a great target. I have been Known to travel over the hill to pop them and sage rats.
