I take it there are no antler restrictions in WV?

antlers must be 3 inches or longer but we now have antlerless along with buck so as long as you have tags i guess you can shoot anything. Normaly I would not have shot a spike, but this one stopped at about 100 yards looked bigger.

It's a coyote, a pair came in about 7:30, I shot the bigger one, 15 minutes later 3 deer came stopped real fast when they got about 20 yards from the yote, don't blame he smells bad!

That is a LARGE coyote! I killed one that size once that smelled as bad as any animal I have ever encountered. I carried him back to camp and had to throw my gloves away!

There's a fellow over in Wyoming county that has started the Smoke Coyote Hunt Club . They're tryin to kill a bunch of them out and get the counties to put up some bounty money as well.

They wrote about him in the Beckley paper.

Coyote weighs 50 lbs 42 inches from nose to yip of his tail, would stand 27 inches at shoulder. With animals like this running the woods I fear game populations will disapear! Rifle is a 336 30wcf, 150 sierra 35gr 748.
