I arrived at our monthly collector's group meeting during the pre-7am setup period and saw this Stevens Favorite being put out. I noticed the broken buttplate and threaded adapter, but there wasn't a price or the Maxim silencer. I asked the dealer if he had the can and how much, then he pulled it out from behind the counter and gave me the price. I know if I had hesitated Marlinman93 would probably be showing it to you guys instead of me, so I just pulled the cash out.
Whomever deactivated it did a very professional job.

That would have been a slick set-up back in the day.
Too bad it had the politically correct updates done.

I'd like to think of it as a "legal, keep my butt out of prison" update.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

I beg to differ with you! There was nothing, BUT great stuff being displayed on your table.

I'm like "Al Bundy".....married with children, so I have enough problems.
I have no intention of ever even attempting to see if it works.

A shame and disgrace that such a fine piece of history has to be destroyed because of what some horse's hind end in Washington thinks.
