A coyote from today

Wish I had a pic with me in it, but I was by myself. This coyote wasn't gray it was more of a cinnamon color but the pic don't show it. I was depredation trapping here.

Nice yote ! Ok lets hear about the gear used ,anchor system ,set and lure :D Man using a longspring in a land set= lots of work :o Good job!!

Thanks, guys. It was a Blake and Lamb #3 longspring (that part was kinda obvious I guess). I had it double staked in that hard clay and it held him VERY solid. You know, this might sound strange, but I don't remember what lure it was off the top of my head. But I think what really did the trick to bring him in was a piece of squirrel I put down the hole, it was a dirthole set, and covered up to keep him working the set awhile. Those old longsprings require a little more work, but boy do they bed easy and have the power to come up through some serious cover. As you can tell, the set was made in clay, and I bet it took me 20 minutes to make that set the clay was so hard. It whipped me just driving in the stakes lol.

There's a nifty little contraption called a "Clampette" sold by High Sierra Manufacturing Co. that will hold your camera for you when you're alone. It clamps to anything, car windows, tree branches, etc.
I have one and love it. It fits into the smallest pocket.
