OT bolt gun fox's.

Post by Nath »

I took my knife making friend out with a lamp to look for fox.
We found three together and managed to take two from my little Suzuki.
Robs first shot was around 150yds and then the second shot paced out right on 202 paces, thats good shooting with a dark red filter and a 55W bulb! The long shot, the bullet went in to the high shoulder and neck/back bone did an about turn and out the way it came in
This feller came running in to the call and I stopped him at 50ish so Rob could take the shot. good fun.

Nath, you're making me real envious.
We have cabin fever not being able to walk the woods where we live! All I shot this weekend was a wood pigeon I got with a CZ .177 air rifle.

Excellent shooting there. Now a fox is a critter that I have never hunted and you can bet your booty that shooting them at night with a Q-Bean (lamp? that is what sits on the night stand, LOL) here in Georgia would bring the game enforcement men out to haul me off to the slammer.

Only during deer season... its perfectly legal to spotlight varmints otherwise. Same in Georgia right?

Besides, if you use night vision and a quiet number like a 25-20 - no attention will be paid ;)
