.357 Mag. Ammo. ??

Post by cshold »

Anyone ever use this brand :?:
http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalo ... Path=21_27

What grain would be best for deer,
The 180 gr. or the 200 gr. hard cast :?:

Will this ammo. fit and be usable in my Colt SAA :?:

I've not used Double Tap. Their offerings look similar to Grizzly or Buffalo Bore at about 2/3 the price...

Grizzly is a Leverguns sponsor...

The 180 at Rifle Speeds is a proven Deer getter out to 110yds.

You may have loading issues with the 200gr in a Rossi 92.

I've shot some of their 200 gr. 10mm ammo. That stuff makes a Glock 20 come alive! Good stuff.
For .357 I would give the 180 gr a try.

I would not shoot .357 rifle ammo hot stuff in a nice Colt SAA. In a Ruger BH or SBH you can get away with hot stuff, not a Colt, not even a New Frontier.

Dbl Tap seems to sell a lot of 10MM ammo, and I use their 44 Special.

Hummmm!! I am somewhat real confused. If yea don't mind me asking as to "why".
I have gotten email responses from two of the Company’s mentioned saying there
ammo. would be just fine in the Colt SAA. :)

There is a difference in shooting hot 357 loads in a SAA and doing the same with a 45 calber SAA. I expect he was carrying the latter concerns over to the former.
