New toys.Not leverguns.

Post by Stan in SC »

I picked up a couple of good deals at the local gun shop.First was a like new Ruger 10/22 with scope.Good looking rifle that i hope to get to shoot soon.
The one I really like is a Taurus Model 441.This is a blued medium frame 5 shot revolver with 4" barrel in .44 Special. It is in like new condition.I got enamored of large bore revolvers last year after purchasing a Ruger .44magnum Super Black Hawk. The .44 Special is a great cartridge and since I have dies for reloading I hope to work up some accurate loads.Haven't shot this one either yet.

I had a stainless 441 for a while. It was a great little revolver, I think you'll like it.

I've had a blued 441 with a 3" barrel for over 10 years now. It's still one of my favorites.
Well done is better than well said.

Congrats Stan! I just love the 10/22! That is what got me hooked on shooting "way back when"... :D

Good luck with your new toys! I recently got a 10/22 and I can't get the darned thing to shoot right in spite of trying nearly every remedy offered outside of a new barrel and stock. On the other hand, the 44 Bulldog I got is absolutely outstanding with 240gr Swift A-Frame driven to 830 fps from the 2 3/4" barrel! The 44 Special can certainly be quite interesting!
