I got the video of the 2001 Doolittle Reunion from don Tomas yesterday. I really enjoyed it. There's nothing like the sound of big round engines.
don Tomas, thanks for the video. As I watched it all I could think of was the phrase: 'Once, we ruled the skies'.

I don't think it was the aircraft that ruled the skies. It was the men that flew them. Read Stephen Ambroses' book "The Wild Blue" and you'll see what won the war.
I hope we never have to see what this generation is made of. I'm sure it's there but just like our fathers, they won't bring it out until it's needed.
