This arrived today to complete my second set of twins. Its a .54 cal (90gr. ffg) 1863 Shiloh Sharps Gemmer. Has a full heavy Octagon barrel and the classic Gemmer stock. The rifle was made in Farmingdale NY when there was just Shiloh (and not C. Sharps). The rifle has been hardly fired and I am excited to get it out to the range. Its twin sister is my 1863 .50 cal Shiloh Sharps 3- band Military rifle. Both rifles have a 30" barrel. On the Gemmer, the hardware is brown. It has double set triggers. Hope you enjoy the pics.
DUDE!!!!! Not meant to kill ya. Was thinking I wish I had the new addition for when we were out knocking down winter grub. The yak and the porker are both excellent. How is the deer? Here in Pa, I am left to late season flintlock starting the 26th so the two Sharps are relegated to range duty till next next fall. Looking forward to seeing how the .50 and .54 work on game. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas season. Peace
