Marlin 32-20

Post by Jazzman251 »

So here's my question. I have the opportunity to purchase a new 1894C in 32-20 with 22" barrel. My concern is the 12 groove Micro-groove rifling. I would like to use cast bullets, probably Oregon, but wonder how well they would shoot. Sure could use some good advise.

Thanks

Go ahead and buy it. It has Ballard rifling. I have all the calibers in the "C" series and they are made exclusively for cast bullets, but they shoot jacketed just as good. The .218 Bee (my cat rifle :D ) is also Ballard rifling and shoots cast very nice

If you do not decide to buy the rifle then give us the details. If you do decide to buy the rifle then we need to see a picture. I would like to have one of those rifles. Welcome aboard, Tom.

1894CL, with Laser Cast 115gr bullets, on top of 9.5gr of 2400, works just fine.

Mine seems to shoot lead very well. It is set up much like JDAD's.
