Guys, I'm looking at slings for my 71/84 Mauser aka "Old Thirty One Twenty" and was considering this sling from Turner's:
http://www.turnersling.com/miva/merchan ... _Code=HRRS
This sling is time period correct although it is American of course and not European. However, the Springfields I have seen look very similar to my Mauser so there was a lot of imitation from one side of the pond to the other. I spoke to Mr. Turner this morning and he can alter demensions some if need be.
What I need to know is the distance between the sling swivels on a Trapdoor Springfield?
Any other suggestions for a good sling would also be appreciated.
Thanks for any help!

Thirty (30) inches on my 1888 Trapdoor Springfield 45-70. Note the rear swivel is on the front of the trigger guard and not back on the butt.

OJ: Wow, much longer between the sling swivels than my Mauser which is only 23 inches. I'm glad I checked.
Ben: Thanks, I would have never found that. It looks similar to the one I have, but might be better quality fasteners. I will check.
Thanks again guys, this place is still the best!
