Ammo question - on topic

Post by J Miller »

Has anyone here, or maybe I should ask, how many here have used the CorBon 200 and 265gr JHP .45 Colt ammo in their lever guns?

How did it perform as far as accuracy? Killing things? Feeding and functioning?

I'm not concerned about velocity because CorBon lists the velocity on the boxes and those are from revolvers. So even a 16" Trapper has to better that by a significant amount.

I picked up a box of each a couple weeks ago. Gonna try them in my lever crankers.
TIA

Terry,

PM received and answered.

Griff,
Only if my rifles like the stuff. I'm thinking of either using Keith bullets over 18.5grs of 2400 or maybe the CorBon stuff. All depends on how my Marlin likes it.
