Lead jackpot!
I was in our shop at work today, and the materials guy was trying to move a huge heavy roll of sheet lead around. Wanted my help to get it to the dump box! Of course I told him to take a break and I'd handle it for him myself! This was thin sheet lead for walls of Xray rooms, and after cutting the roll into 4 sheets and rolling them up again, I was finally able to get it into my truck.
I figured there must be 400 lbs. of good clean, pure lead there! Looks like I'm set for another winter of casting!

In case anyone missed the significance of this - 400 lbs would translate to
2.8 MILLION GRAINS....!
That's at least 5,000 of the biggest bullets I've ever seen, or 10,000 ordinary ones, or....

Congrats, but... do you have a gieger counter? Perhaps your bullets will be a tad more deadly than most!marlinman93 wrote: This was thin sheet lead for walls of Xray rooms, and after cutting the roll into 4 sheets and rolling them up again, I was finally able to get it into my truck.

Naw, this is a new roll that was never installed.
And to top it off, my gun dealer called when I got home and said my new Marlin arrived! Only the 2nd. new gun I've ever purchased! (I know, not a classic lever!)

Re: Lead jackpot!
That's a relief!
I can see it now. "Val must have just finished up casting."
"How can you tell?"
"He's glowing again!"

That will make a few balls for that new Alamo caplock rifle too.
