There is at least a limited "rush" to buy guns. I see one such person so motivated every time I stop at the local slobber shop. He has been selling an AR type rifle a day but also every other kind of gun. The buyers are all mentioning the election.

Gun shops are doing brisk business; people want to at least get stuff 'grandfathered' in if possible.

The shame is that this isn't time and money isn't channeled into constructive political activity, but I think most believers in capitalism (i.e. the right of individuals to own property) and a constitutional, representative government (as opposed to a democracy where the leeches can outvote the workers and take their money/property) have just about given up on ever having an election not hamstrung from the start by the Marxist news media.

I've seen lots of my elderly patients, including some who survived Nazi Germany, say they are really frightened at the parallel's and our youth's naive support of a charismatic leader.

I also would not be surprised to hear the purchasers of these guns wind up getting killed with them in thier hands.

There has been a rush to buy guns and ammo, all summer long, based on election concerns. Heck, I know several guys at work who have been buying extra AR-15s, FAL's, you name it, and cases of ammo at a time, because they want to be stocked up.

And some have been talking about buying up canned food etc. also.

Don't give up on our youth. I believe we may be seeing the next Great Generation. Take a look and our all volunteer military. They and others with the same values are our leaders of the future. My son is very conservative in his politics and beliefs, so are a lot of his generation.

Are guns a good investment?
Well, if BHO gets elected we will see gun bans w/o grandfathering. If the dems get a super majority in the senate, this will happen very soon.
In this situation, guns will become indespensible...
I myself am selling off some of mine - mostly the . 'extra' milsurps and blackpowder revolvers. I won't be selling any AR's, AK's, FAL, etc. - nor any handguns which are eminently concealable.

I would council buying a good AK-74 and at least 5 tins of Bulgarian 5.45x39 to have on hand - the best value right now at $120 per 1080 round can.
