OT--York, Pa. Show?? ****141 Remington****

Post by Sixgun »

Anybody headed to the York, Pa. show this Saturday?. Mike Johnson? Noah Zark? I hope to be there by 8. I have a real nice 141 Remington in .35 that I am moving at 5 C-Notes--------probably because a buddy of mine is bringing me a 98% '95 in 30-40 K. with a "Climbin' Lyman" to look at.---Dreaded disease.----------Sixgun

I was looking at a 14R the other day, with the peep sight. Neat thing. No moola at present. Various forum members have sucked my wallet empty! I too wish you luck. Where do they have the York show?
Sincerely,

That sounds like a great deal, but I already have one of those, and a '47 vintage 336 in .35. I was in York in early August for the National Bottle Show. It was at the fairground, where I suppose the gun show will be held. Thre are probably many better deals out there than there ever will be out this way. 8)

I'm not really a "94 guy, but a VERY nice .32-40 TD with nickel steel octagon barrel is calling my name. I feel the resistance fading... :D

Depending on the weather, I might go. I'm painting my house(outside) and need to wrap this project up before the winter winds blow in. Maybe I'll bring my Marlin 1894CL which I need to sell. It would be nice if a few of us could meet each other in person!

50-50 for me right now. Sched is clear, but sinuses are not.

Sixgun: Last May I carried a pristine 35 Rem 141 around the York show and finally sold it for $275. Incredible lack of interest at $350.

I'll LYK later today if I'm going.

Nifty Remington!!

How old is that box of Winchesters?
I've got a box of .44 Magnums like that from my Grandfather's stuff.
I think he bought them by accident thinking they were 44-40s.
Good thing they didn't fit in the old '92!

I'd like to go to that show but that's to far to drag my worn out behind this weekend.

Hey Mike.

Hope everything's ok!!

The way I feel now with the Fall allergy-induced sinus issues and general fatigue from a week of Mondays, I don't feel like driving 3.75 hrs one way tomorrow for a stinkin' gun show, even with $2.65 gas.

Have fun, boys.

Just watched the weather and I don't feel like driving 150 miles in the rain but............if I'm there, I'll be wearing a black cowboy hat with an empty 40-82 cartridge hanging from the leather thong. Hope to be there-----------Sixgun

Casastahle,
As I write this, it is now 11:00 am. So I guess I'll not gonna make it to the show. The clock went off at 5 this morn. and I shut it off and went back to bed after looking outside. Its really only "half" of 150 miles as York is 75 each way. Looks like we are gonna have to catch up in the future :D --------Sixgun

It is POURING here, and Fri afternoon a client called and wanted some control tuning done this morning so I'm just finishing that up, waiting on the maint. guys to finish replacing a couple hydraulic valves so I can tune the software.

Glad I decided to blow York off.

Just got back about an hour ago.
Wow!! the place was packed. :o
I didn't buy anything.
Allot of browsing, not much buying going on.
Prices are very high.
Made items on GB & AA look like deals.

Seemed like allot more people walking around trying to pawn guns
off on the venders this yr.
