96/22/17/44/M (10/22) Sights

Post by Old Ironsights »

I really dislike the sights on my 96/22. I tried a Williams made for the Ruger, but it really didn't work as well as I wanted - especially with the firesight in front. THe bead is just too big.

Saturday a guy at the sillhouette shoot had a 10/22 with a really cool set of sights - that did everything I wanted. Y'all might like this if you don't/haven't scoped your Ruger:

I like the looks of the Tech-Sights, and have heard from users that they really like them.

If you purchase them I'd love to hear what you think of them.

Well, I purchased them because I liked them when I handled the other guy's gun... Try before you buy...

I figure I'll have them by the end of the week... and sighted in before November Riots. :?

OI,

I've never owned a Ruger 10-22. Wanted one though. That set of sights just makes me want to go buy a 10-22 and and the sights and go have a blast.

I was shooting a 10/22 just last night. It would have been cooler if it had those sights instead of a carry handle on top.

I live in the Chicago/Gary area.

Regardless of the outcome of the election, I expect Riots... "celebratory" or Defiant...

We've had riots in our little exburb before... and the State MAX Pen is within the city limits.

Consequently, every gun (rifle/pistol combos) in the place has gone through a "combat ready" test & prep in the past few days... :?

The 96/22 is a 10/22 with a lever.

The sights fit on all of the 96 series guns as well as the "10" series.

96/17
96/17M
96/22
96/22M
96/44
.44 Deerstalker (.44 "10/22")

OI,

Yep, I understood that. It's just that I've never seen a 96/22 in the flesh, and I have wanted a 10-22, so that's what I said.

If I were back in AZ and we could do a FTF transaction I'd take you up on it. But I just don't wanna go though all the hassle of getting an FFL dealers license, shipping, transfer fees and all that.

Thanks for the offer though.
