I've been saying this for a while. It finally became clear to me when CA did what they did in banning lead bullets...

I stopped by the local tire place today - they have a national contract with their supplier - no local dealing allowed. I'm going to head out to try some independents next - see if I can't stock up some more - I've only got one bucket of them right now...

Death by a thousand cuts. The anti's teamed up with the environmental-wackos a long time ago, realizing that if they make the components to reloading - and thus shooting - all but impossible to obtain, they will drive people away from the "sport". This has been their intent all along - dwindle our numbers until we can no longer put up a fight...

One problem with stockpiling lead.
When the finally get around to banning private possession of lead, you will get stuck with an EPA Superfund bill for lead abatement.
The blank-dashed-dirty-old-never-mind gun grabbers can't beat us in a fair fight in the courts and legislatures so they are trying to backdoor gun control by making it impossible for us to get or make affordable ammunition.
Gentlemen, we are not being defeated by enemy warriors. We are being nibbled to death by blank-dashed ducks!!
