Marlin Safety - GONE

Post by deerwhacker444 »

I made this safety replacement a while back from a small piece of steel. Personally, I think I made the faux screwdriver slot too big. For that reason, I made a replacement and just got it finished and back in my rifle.

So, if someone doesn't mind the wide slot and would like to put the one shown on a rifle, first come first served. It fits correctly and I had it on my gun for over a year. It might need to have some bluing touched up, but other than that it works fine.

I have an 1894 Cowboy that would look a hell of a lot better without that redundant safety.

I'll take it if Killer doesn't want it.

I put a Clyde Ludwig unit on my 1894 and don't like it. It looks better than the safety, but it sits below flush on the right side and the screw slot makes it look busy. If I had a lathe I'd make one that fits right and didn't have the silly slot.
