Only thing is, I can't figure out why she'd use a bird gun to shoot a donkey. I'd go for a good 30-30 lever...
Haven't you ever heard the term "Running like a Comanche with an butt full of buckshot?" Or heard of watermelon snatchers getting a butt full of birdshot while going about their forays?
Bird guns and BUTTS have a long time connection.

We will need Jim Taylor's input to settle this one, he has shot more than a few feral donkeys, but I was of the belief that donkeys are pretty tough critters and take a lot of killing.

Feral Donkeys are, as stated, quite a tough animal, but the same cannot be said for (most) jack a$$e$. (It's a male donkey, get over it.)
