Friends of Billy Dixon Update!

Post by CowboyTutt »

Dear guys, I'm writing to inform you that I received an email from "Doc" Boyle that said the "Friends of Billy Dixon" website is now complete. It features updated articles by Mic Mcpherson as well as two others (one of which will look very familiar! :P ) You can see it here:

http://www.friendsofbillydixon.org/

There have been some "going on's" over there recently. I'm still trying to get the story from the exhausted participants, but as a teaser Doc had this to say:
Hi Andy!
At last month's shoot I hit the Diamond next to the Billy Dixon target with David's 45/70 Peabody at a rangefinder determined distance of 1725 yards. David, Mic and By were shooting this weekend but I haven't yet had a report.
I spoke to Mic Monday night and can tell you there were even more significant events this last weekend. I will post another thread when I have more details for you.

Way cool. When I get back out to the west coast in a few years I can't wait to get out there and check it out.

Jeremy, I sincerely hope we don't have to wait that long to get together. I hope you can attend the next big B.D. event in August '09. I might even be there over Spring Break in '09 (a very good possibility!). Keep in touch, Buddy.

I just got off the phone with David Torkelson about recent events at the B.D. Range. They are significant, to say the least! :o :P I want to make another phone call or two, and then I will have what I need to update everyone here. Its really neat, guys. Even solid brass bullets have a future in ultra long range shooting using old world firearms (did I just say that??? ).
