News here is pretty sketchy concerning the banking crisis in Europe.
What are you guys seeing from where you are standing on the ground?

Pretty much the same as you guys, our gov is throwing 400 billion pounds in to the banks of our tax money.
Other euro countries are doing the same. Iceland is all but bankrupt.
Interest rates were dropped half a percent today.
What gets me is no heads have rolled yet!
Time for a good ole' purge!

Thanks Nath,
CEO & CFO of some big company were just indicted here for inflating earnings of thier company.
Hopefully we will see more of this, if it's illeagal for me ; it should be illeagal for them.
The defense is that the system is so complicated that us lay people can not possibly understand thier visonary tactics.

I'd dearly love to see some heads roll, especially here. We all know that won't happen, though. It appears that, like the members of the House and Senate, that Wall St types are a "protected species". I'm sure that members of Parliament share the same benefits in their positions.

What the heck happened to Iceland? They have been on a construction roll for decades, improving infrastructure and sharing a booming economy. I guess that greed has done them in, too. Let's see some accountability, here.

As Nath said, the government are throwing BILLIONS of POUNDS of our tax money to bail out failing banks. Pity they could not find enough money to equip our armed services in Iraq and Afghanistan with decent tools to do the job!

I suppose politicians and bankers are, as Mike D said, a "protected species" that always look after their own first.
