Got our work done and I decided to exercise my little 100 yard metallic silhouette range. Shot 31 x 40 with the Marlin 39a, 32 x 40 with the Marlin 32-20. Not really great, but such a beautiful day I didn't care. While I was shooting, our two little dogs spent their time chasing an imaginary squirrel through the trees and my wife got all her birdhouses down and put away. Another beautiful drive down the mountain, home in time for supper, which is on the stove.
Life is good.
Typical scenes along the foothills of the Wind River Range of the Rocky Mountains, elevation here is about 7000 feet.

Scene from about 8000 feet showing the edge of the Great Divide Basin with Oregon Buttes about 25 miles away on the horizon. Hazy day.

My shooting range, hard to get a good photo here, it is buried deep in a thick stand of aspen, 100 meters long, 6 feet wide!
