Gus.... just dusted the buffalo hunter with his henry rifle....
way to arch that 44 rimfire!
Gus is one of the greatest western characters of all time..
in my opinion anyway...
he just shot the rest of Blueducks' gang...and rescued Lorainna
Great movie!
Watching a great movie..... Lonesome Dove

One of my all time favorite movies. That's a great scene when he rides into Blueducks camp.

I love the quirting scene where Call rides his horse into the Scout and his mount, and then proceedes to beat the living tar out of him...and Gus riding up to rope him and pull him off with his pistol drawn in self defense. I agree...probably no better acted Western part than Robert Duvall as Gus McCrae(with all due respect to the Duke of course, who is in a league of his own).
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

I found the Lonesome Dove Trilogy on VHS at a yard sale earlier this summer, great way to spend three evenings.
