Excerpts from hearings back in 2004 when the Dems squashed any attempt to regulate Fannie and Freddie. Some really classic lines from Franklin Raines, Barney Frank, and all of your favorites (I know everybody just loves Maxine Waters ... you know who you are). I love Franklin Raines about mortgage "assets are so riskless ...". Bill Clinton has the best line of all at the end. It's a bit long at about 8-1/2 minutes.

... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

Re: POLITICS - Great Fannie May Video ...
If our side can do a full-court press on this for the next 5+ weeks, and enough of the public hears the truth, there is a good chance we will not only win the White House, but may take back some seats in both the House and Senate. After all, the latter had a dazzling approval rating of a whopping 9% before the mess with the financial markets hit the fan. I'm not holding my breadth, but if the voting public had any brains at all, there wouldn't be an incumbant left standing after this election!
