WV Early Bear Season

I had six friends go hunting in the early WV bear season. I was suppose to go, but due to an injury I could not go. They did not shoot any bears, but they had a blast. They saw five dead bears that the guys with the dogs shot. No big ones, but what the heck. I am hoping to get to go next year. They were in the Burgoo, WV area. Tom.

We're having our early chase season (absolutely NO guns permitted) here in western VA. I don't run dogs but Mom's neighbor does (he farms her land). His club has treed 40 bear this season. The weather was great and they apparently had a great time.
