Beartooth .45-70 Pile Driver Bullet Question

Post by crs »

Has anyone on this forum tried these 525 grain bullets in a .45-90?
Either a Win 1886, Sharps, or other make?
How about .45-90 load data for this bullet?
Here is a link to the bullet description with pics and a video! :)

Since it seems that no one here has experience with these bullets, I will just have to try them myself. :)

crs,

load some of those up and come over to the house, we'll find something to shoot them into to test them out. But you have to do the shooting :D

You didnt say if your rifle was a orginal win 45/90 or a recent convert I think the twist in the 45/90 is 1-32 whereas the 45/70 is 1-16 the 90 was meant to shoot 300 gr bullets the 525 will shoot but hitting the target will be hard. With that said it would depend on your bbl twist. danny
