OT: Forum posting question: Hobie, AmBraCol

Post by J Miller »

Here is what happens.

OI posts his thread; Guess the Nationality.
I look at it and post.
Someone else posts at the same time I do.
BUT~~
Instead of posting my comment it redirects it to the preview page. Then I have to click SUBMIT again.

This has happened numerous times and just flat buggs me. Is there a setting I can change to stop this. When I click on SUBMIT, I want the thing to post. I don't care that someone else posted a couple seconds before me.

Help

It does it to me too. I don't think that it's fixable. The database can only write one post to an address at a time.

There IS a benefit to it though. Say that you post somthing particularly witty or, mor importantly, post somthing that would make my post look utterly stupid. Having the opportunity to see what you said before I try to submit again is (sometimes) useful.

Better than having to go back and Edit.

Happens to me, too.

I think it's just so you can read a post that has been made while you where typing and gives you the chance to change yours if you want/need to. I have actually used it a couple times, but mostly I just end up hitting "Submit" again.
