POLITICS - The truth

Post by Gun Smith »

When you see or hear one of the mass of political ads go to FactCheck.org. You'll not be too suprised to learn that MOST of them from BOTH sides are mostly bogus.

Even assuming for the sake of discussion that they have no agenda and truly intend what their name implies...
It still can't be done.
The truth is it's all true and it's all false. Every bill has good and bad and totally unrelated stuff, I can complain about you voting for socialized health care while you can complain about me voting for subsidized guns for babies... and THEY'RE BOTH THE SAME BILL.
Get rid of that, make one law be about ONE thing.
And repeal the 17th amendment.

Then, we might be talking some good.

And it's a eye for eye
Tooth for tooth
It's a lie
That's the truth
See a blind man on the street
Looking for something free
Hear the con man ask his friends
"Hey, what's in it for me?"
If these walls could talk, I'd listen to the floor.

90% of the people I know who intend to vote Republican are only doing so because of all the lies they see from Democrats.

Go figure. You'd think we'd learn.

The same people who think Bush is an idiot and shouldn't be allowed the power to pick what's for lunch at the White House, are so naive as to want Obama to step into office and run, tax, and regulate everything. If you ask them how they can feel safe doing that because "What if in a few years we elect another Bush into office and he has that kind of power?" they just say "That's why I'll never vote Republican!"

Glen Boortz is right about the damage an ignorant and selfish electorate can cause.
