Political - Hyprocrisy

Post by Ysabel Kid »

Not that this should surprise any of us here!

I'm driving back from a sales call last Friday and find myself behind a Toyota Prius. Surprise, surprise, it has an "Obama" sticker on one side, and some environmental-wacko sticker on the other. Not the first time I wished I was in my truck and could just make one of these a grease stain by running it over!

We are at a light and what does this young environmentally and socially conscious moron do? She flicks her lit cigarette out of her window!

I guess she wants to save the environment so she can continue to use it as her own personal ashtray...

Every year the 4th of July parade passes in front of my house. Every year the politicians make their play for votes. Every year we have people who sit their chairs in front of (on the sidewalk) or on our wall/yard to watch the parade and many are, ummm, partisan enough to wear the sticker or wave the whatever of their candidate. The ONLY people to leave trash or fail to ask permission to sit in the yard are the Dem/S.
Sincerely,

Hobie

no surprise at all. they want the rules to apply to everyone else but not themselves. I have actually gotten out of my car, picked up a flicked butt when I see someone do it a stop light, and flick it back in their car, telling them they dropped this!. done it a bunch of times and will keep doing it so long as they give me enough time at the light to do so. You should see the surprised looks on their faces. Had one guy come after me but once he got out of the car, he could see i was not really in the mood to be messed with.

It would be a shame for some litter causing scum bag to die over a returned cig butt. I am positive I can draw quicker, shoot straighter and put more lead into most homies, then they can. most times, they are too busy scrambling to get the butt on the passenger side floor than they are worried about me. :D

MOST of the idiots that drive those cheese wedge type cars are of the liberal bent. I'm sorry, but my Chevy Silverado suits me just fine, less than 20 MPG and all. I love it when those little weenie car drivers give me their best shake of the head when my 4X4 cruises past them. At least mine's long paid for. Heck, the little wedgies they drive cost more than a new PU, anyway. 8)

Many of the die hard University Liberals here will go out and buy a patch of an old farm and plunk a 4-500K house on it and put the beamer or hummer out front. So much for saving the land. Then there's the tolerance for all mantra, UNLESS you oppose their "progressive" views, then you are the one who is intolerant, racist or homophobic. Oh and we must save the tibetian monks and every critter, but lets not talk about the 50+ million unborn children that went into the dumpster and currently are still going there by the millions. That might upset someone. There are so many inconsistancies that it's hard to pick one when confronting this mindset. :? Yep, we got our inconsistancies that we need to confront as Conservatives as well.

I was looking at the new pols today on TV and I don't think they are right. They have been too close too long. This will be another election just like 4 years ago. Sen Kerry had a 15 point lead a day or so before the election last time around and Bush beat him bad. I believe who ever does the polling are most likely just like the media,Pro Obama and cooking the books. I think they pick and choose what areas to pole just to give Obama the edge. The Dems know this and thats why they are very concerned.

When city idiots dump their trash (or hire it 'disposed' of) and it winds up on our property, we've been known to sift through it for consistent magazine addresses, etc., then put it in the truck, and return it. We call the local sheriff or police first so if they get a complaint they have a heads-up. They seem to think it is considerate of us to return the lost property.

My favorite is a "I'm for separation of church and hate" on the same car as an "Obama" sticker. Go figure.

It is a shame the environmentalists, who are RIGHT about the dangers of 'micromanaging' and 'interfering' with regards to the environment (but WRONG in that they trust the Bush's and Clinton's of the world to regulate it), somehow don't GET it that the same principles apply to the economy. After all, humans 'compete' using free exchange of goods, labor, and money (which is what true economists study), and it is no different than birds and insects competing for your seed corn.

Mike -

That reminds me of a story. When my son was an infant I took him with me to run an errand. I got out of the car, had him in my arms, and was juggling other baby stuff when a guy pulled in, got out of his car, and flicked a cigarette at my feet. I said something like "hey, does the parking lot look like an ashtray to you?". I guess the guy figured I couldn't do anything about it since I had a baby in my arms, so he just flipped me off and walked away. He was right - partially - I couldn't chase him down with my son in my arms. However, I figured I'd be neighborly and returned his cigarette - since he left his window partially down - to his front seat.
