A kill & a rescue... both "levered" (ish).

Post by Old Ironsights »

Got lucky and had a clean, safe, anonymous shot (brick wall behind it) at a filthy pigeon from the back window of my office (no body could see me from the outside). Crosman 1377 Pump Pistol .177 drove a pellet nicely through its head from 20 ft... flop. One less Car Crapper.

Got home and found a poor terrified 'coon in our dumpster. Thing had climbed a mattress that one of my moron neighbors had leaned up against it and gotten trapped.

Dunno how many of the neighborhood evil moron "children" had been poking at it with sticks when I found it.

So I spent the evening untill nightfall chasing off kids until I was able to lever it out with a longish board. Would have preferred a restraint stick (thing looked to be about 20lbs) but I was glad to get it out before one of the local reprobates got his face chewed off.

2 for 2 today IMO. 8)

I used to have one of those Crossman pump air pistols. I wore that thing out while in my teens. What a great air pistol. Anyway, I agree that you were 2 for 2 on good deeds today. May you always shoot straight, and be able to be proud of the results.

The poor "little" critter.

Did look a bit more scraggly when climbing out than when balled up, but was still at least 18-20lbs.

Maybe you could have paid one of those sweet young children to climb in the dumpster for you and retrieve you kitty cat?

It was a thought... bus as I am a signatory on the Association Liability Insurance, I really didn't want to deal wth the reprocussions.
