OT 6pt-sika some photos of Deer.

Post by gamekeeper »

Just a few photos my son took recently. We will try to get close to the Roe Deer, Fallow and Munjact but the keeper has asked us not to disturb the woods because of his Pheasants.
So we are reduced to shooting Squirrels from the kitchen window. I did however get a Stoat with my Savage 24 .410 barrel, this morning.

Sorry the photos are not too clear, the Sika would not leave the Thistle patch and the camera was at full zoom.

When I was in Hemel-Hempstead, I would walk from there to a pub called The Plough; in Leverstock-Green.
It was the highlight of my dreary day, there really is a lot of game running around in England; and the country is drop dead beautiful.

I wouldn't think a .410 was big enough to bag a politician...Image

I love that buck in the second to last photo. He looks ready and willing to protect his herd. Kinda reminds me of Sarah Palin.

I could be wrong but I believe the Sika stag in the last 4 pics is the same deer !

I just got my Blackwater permits today and was on here looking at a bruiser by our standards to get me wound up as the early ML season on the Blackwater is less then a month away !
