Picked up a "left handed" Remington 121

Post by jdad »

This was just too neat of an oddity and the price was right. The safety and Redfield are mounted for a left handed shooter.

Seems to me, the 870 safety could be reversed. Don't know why I seem to recall that, as I "know" they make/made southpaw 870's. I'm looking at one in the safe as I write this.

IIRC I converted a Rem 870 to port side a long time ago. You can't just take the safety out and flip it over. The detent ball is just a hair off center. Michaels of Oregon used to sell a kit to convert it for left hand use.
