Parts for reproduction 1895 Win. half cock hammer?

Post by abcollector »

I saw where in another thread about someone wanting to replace the rebounding hammer/trigger parts for the original half cock parts. Does anyone know where these parts are available from? I tried MWG and they didn't have ones for the 1895.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't know of a source for these parts, but like you, there are many at leverguns(including myself) who wish there was. It's surprising that someone has not already manufactured them. A gunsmith named Kenny Howell at the R&D Gunshop is supposed to be a source for the conversion of rebounding hammers on lever action rifles. I don't know where that shop is but I think it's in the Midwest/Upper Midwest. Something tells me in Wisconsin. Wish I had the skills to make the parts, cause I'd be crankin' 'em out. Good luck.

I have been wondering where all the Browning 1895 parts went. None seem to be available anywhere. :(
