Marlin Hammer Extension - Gratis

Post by airedaleman »

Cleaning up my loading bench, I came across a JM in oval hammer extension. If anyone can use it, e-mail me your name and address, and I'll send it along. First come, first serve!

Just a note on Marlin hammers! I recently found that Marlin has changed their hammer widths on the newer Marlins, so after years of using the same width hammer, the old extensions will no longer fit the latest hammers. Not sure when this change took place, but I sold 5 to a fella back east and none of them fit his very new Marlin leverguns.-Vall

My 336 Texan is from '76, so it fit like a champ.

Glad you were able to conquer whatever demons were keeping you from posting on this forum.

I'm glad it filled the bill, Edward. I just picked up a Marlin 30TK manufactured in 1990, and the hammer spur is wider than the one on your Texan.
