Politics - Obama on gun ownership

Post by Ysabel Kid »

“If you’ve got a gun in your house, I’m not taking it. Even if I want to take them away, I don’t have the votes in Congress.” – Senator (D-CA) and Democrat Presidential nominee Barack Hussein Obama, 2008

Hmmm, that sounds familiar. Yep, in an unusal bit of honesty, another prominent Dem said:

"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them . . . Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in, I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here." – Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) on CBS TV show "60 Minutes", February 5, 1995.

So, if - when - they can get the votes, exactly how safe are our guns - and our rights?

A gun-owner voting for a Democrat - ANY DEMOCRAT AT ANY LEVEL - is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders. Sheer stupidity and suicidal!!!

I know, I know - some Dem's, especially from "gun-owning areas", are "gun friendly". Doesn't matter - it simply gives the party that openingly wants to ban your guns more votes moving them closer to the goals many of them have already openingly expressed. Do you think any of those "pro-gun Dem's" will leave their party in defense of your guns and your rights? If so, I have a bridge to sell you...

i simply can't see how anyone who values the 2nd amendment or the sanctity of life can vote for a democrat at any level. The democrats are the party of Hollywood, the illeagal residents, and those that allow themselves to be enslaved to their programs. It is beyond me how those in the inner cities, election after election vote for for those who would keep them on programs that keep them enslaved. The democrats don't want their voting base to be bettered by the programs, just enslaved to them so they continue to have a voting base.
i don't get it

And if you put lipstick on a commy he is still a commy. He will say what he needs to now, look at his record to see what he will do.

To liberals the biggie is the second amendment followed by the right to kill babies. Once they elimanate your right to self protection you are dependent and enslaved to their will. There are so called pro life dems, but they convieniently say it's not my right to stop killing babies. You herd Joe Biden- Catholic-on Meet the Press say so. You know about Iowas Tom Harken-Catholic-dem also very set for the right to kill babies.
So if the people who say they arn't really for killing babies but don't want to stop it, say they are pro gun, will they support and vote the party line with excuses as they do about killing babies? Even if you get an ocasional pro second vote or pro life vote, they exert enough freedom eroding views that harm is done as they are compeled to support the leadership.
That is the case in social issues in Iowa since the senate and house went dem. Gronsdal the senate majority leader has been called the true governer of Iowa. My House guy is a catholic dem. When the dems pushed through a school anti bullying bill (really gay education) opposed by the Catholic church,he left town so he didn't have to vote. Point is if he wanted to stay dem he had to tow the party line-being they had a majority anyway ducking out was a compromise to the party and the church. Probably won't get him a commitie charmanship, but will keep the church off his case.
Just to illustrate the true democrat politician.

You wanna know how the country will be run by democrats? Take a REAL LONG HARD look at us here in CA. There is no goal for them, except total disarmament, of all but the elite, and total control, for them.

There is NO HAPPY MEDIUM for them and should not be for us.

The main reasons I just bought two semi auto centerfires.

BTW, there is no such thing as a "pro-choice Catholic". Some Catholics may say they are pro-choice and still faithful, but that simply isn't possible. By not defending the life of the innocent unborn children, they are complict in murder of the same. This is a mortal sin.

Biden, Harken, Kennedy... they may claim to be Catholics, but if the churchs they attend followed doctrine, they'd be refused communion.
