Took a new shooter out today

Post by Tycer »

Guy that works for me. Says he hates guns. Three of us went through a box and a half of 525 .22LR in a couple of levers and a Ruger 22/45. 50 Wadcutter .357s and 20 Federal 125s.
Still says he hates guns. Couldn't figure out why he couldn't wipe that silly grin off his face. Wants to know if we can go out again next week.

Got to try the new target out today. Very fun! http://www.metaltargets.com/DuelingTrees.htm Got the two paddle with both magnum and rimfire paddles. Worked great.
Kind regards,
Tycer

If we all can do that it would REALLY help our cause. . .

+1000 I've never taken out a newbie that didn't come away having a bunch of fun and a good dose of new-found respect for gun-owners in general. Some of them pursued this and became gun owners themselves. The others at least understood where we come from and don't buy the leftist koolaid on guns at face value!

My wife was scared to death of guns when we first got married. One year later, she is the proud owner of a Beretta 391 20gauge autoloader and taking trap lessons, wants to buy a Browning A-Bolt 7mm-08 for her first pig hunt this winter, and is looking for her own .22 rifle.

Unfortunately, she doesn't care for pistols or for lever-actions. She prefers bolt guns and autos. Oh well....whatever gets her to the range or into the field!! :D
Some people just need a sympathetic pat on the head.....with a hammer. Repeatedly.
