This has to be one of the most beautiful examples of an 1886 I have ever seen. Jeez. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

They should have also filled-in the Ohlin's trademark though.

Wow! That case coloring is something else! They could have used a higher grade of wood though. Very nice, but tiger-striped or burled would have made it. I love the octagon barrel.

I like the wood, it fits with the rifle, but it has an awful lot of grain showing in the big side pic for my taste. The metal on the other hand looks fantastic; second to nothing. Gotta love those colors.

Interesting treatment of the safety. Still there but "blended" with the upper tang.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

I think I would have had them make me a half-cock hammer/trigger/sear. Even if I had to install them myself.
