Ramline Stocks & Win94
Alright, I know there's got to be one or two Win94s floating around that have the Ramline stocks installed.
I'd like to see some pics and get some feedback on them.

So would I, since it has been on my mind to try it on my Marlin. Pic's of Marlins too please...

My experience with synthetic aftermarket stocks has not been the greatest.
I find that all the accustomed balance of the rifle is gone and they become very barrel heavy.

+1 on the pictures of a Winchester with Ramline stocks.

Hmmmm,
Since my 94AE Trapper is muzzle light maybe the Ramline Stock set would balance it out.
Just a thought.

Re: Ramline Stocks & Win94
As popular as these guns (Winchesters, Marlins, and the Puma clones) are, and given what I at least think is a relatively limited-seeming number of models and 'variations' dimensionally (my Marlins seem all - 1895's and 1894's - to just have two variations - straight and pistol grip) it seems strange synthetic stocks aren't even available for many of them. Heck - they make a great folding synthetic for the Marlin Camp Carbine - and how many of them were produced, versus the 1894's!

Here's a link with some pictures of both the Winchester and Marlin leverguns.

I'm with OI, if the buttstock is too light, add ammo, first aid kit, survival equipment, etc in the stock for balancing weight.

Not a Ramline but my Black Shadow 94/.444 with it's synthetic stock.
I like the feel of it and the light weight. It's rapidly becoming my favorite
knock about carbine.

Re: Ramline Stocks & Win94
I really wanted to get a Ramline to fit on my 92... but they only make it for a 94 and modifying it is an enormous PITA beyond my limited skills.
IMO the hollow stock is ideal for storing a mini survival kit and one or 2 reloads of .357.
Put it on a SS 92TD in a small over the shoulder bag and you have almost the perfect "survival kit" for the truck.

Re: Ramline Stocks & Win94
I did that with one of the kids .22s. The oldest has a Savage MKII w/ the synth. stock and a nice hollow area under the butt plate. I replaced the phillips head screws with a couple slotted stainless screws so he could get into it with a just a pocket knife if he had to. Put a little metal tin with a dozen spare rounds packed with cotton cleaning patches. and a little ziplock type bag with waterproof matches.
Fit in there nice and snug.
