Rossi rear sight needed

Post by 1886 »

I know someone will here will know this. I picked up a presafety stainless Rossi 92. It is one of the 1 of 2000 jobs. It is missing the rear sight and if I remember correctly the dovetail is rather larger, not 3/8". I think Steve's Guns in Va. was the Rossi parts guy at one point. Anyway I would appreciate any feedback you fellas can provide. Thanks, 1886.

1886, I have one I took off of my Navy Arms Rossi .45 colt short rifle.
It is a piece of KRAPP. The elivator wont stay in one place and slips down a notch as you shoot giving a vertical string instead of a group.
If I can find it, you are welcome to it . :D

PS , I put a Marbles tang sight on it. Fine shooter now!!! :D :D :D

Thanks Chuck. The rifle came with a unique rear peep. It is adjustable for windage and elevation and makes for a handy, quick on target sight picture. I am not sure if a Marbles has the correct size base to fit the large dovetail that Rossi cuts. 1886.
