Out of brass!!

Post by jnyork »

All the dealers, Midway, Natchez, etc, are out of 32-20 brass. Did the manufacturers stop making it?

I seem to remember that 32-20 brass is a seasonal production item for Winchester. I don't know about Starline. Actually, I just primed and flared 300+ cases. They've been fired 7 times. What kind of life do you get from your 32-20 brass? I normally shoot a fairly mild load (4 grains of Unique). Good luck on your "hunt".

mav: I get about a dozen loads. 15.5 gr AA2200, 107 grain cast bullet.

Deerwhacker: Thanks but they require an order of at least $40.00, I try not to do business with outfits like that.

Thanks, Jim T, I know how to Google. :)

Midway, Natchez, etc are either "not in stock" or they want you to order a bunch of other stuff. I'll keep looking.

I just ordered 1000 rounds of .357 nickeled and .38spl .brass ( 500 ea ) from Mag Tec and Starline . Got it in last week. Cost + shipping 177.00 . Too dang high no matter what. but the bullets I wanted cost about the same . Almost no savings over store bought ammo.
But what the heck .! I don't get to shoot much anymore nohow . As as soon as these are put together I'll have enough to last a long time for me. Now , My lovely young bride is another thing. She gets started and thinks she's in a war zone . Lots of bang. She is fun though. :D

Jerry,
PM me your address and I'll send you 50 NEW starline cases. You can send me a check for what they are worth to you.

I let my local dealer get brass for me once a year ! Think he gets his stuff from Black Hills !

Anyway he has had 200 pieces of Winchester 32-20 brass on backorder with them for about 18 months now !

Darn good thing I don't need it as I have a couple hundred pieces already .

But I do like to stockpile a little

Brother York, today I called Blue Star in Searcy since they are only about 40 miles south of me. I didn't get any answer so I will check in the morning and see of they have any 32wcf brass, I have bought alot of it from them. I will check and see what I have for new brass and let you know. Their number is 870-268-6443.

Good, that means that there's more in stock items for me. Graf's is one of my main on-line suppliers. I never order less than $40 anyway. And they do that because they pay the shipping unless you want it really quick.

Try Grafs & Son in Missouri. They usually stock Winchester brass in depth.
Wnchester only runs the dash cartridge brass once a year as well as 25-35 etc. I use 25-35 brass for the Cowboy Screwdrivers I make. When I was looking for a large supply I contacted Winchester and they suggested I call Grafs. No one else in the country had 25-35. Grafs had 10,000 in stock. I got my 1000 pieces and was quite happy. They are one of the largest suppliers of Winchester brass in the country.

Ran into the same issue with .25-20 WCF brass a while back. Also a seasonal run, but if you look hard enough, you'll find some! Good luck!!! :D
