another perfect range day !!

Post by new pig hunter »

2 weeks ago I had a perfect range day:
http://www.levergunscommunity.com/viewt ... 8&p=113575

Well, I had another one today !!!
I put a head of cabbage on the ground at 100 yards. Got out the Remington 700 ADL, .22-250 ...... very first shot: no more cabbage !!
SO, I then put a head of cabbage on the berm at 200 yards. Again with the Remington, second shot: no more cabbage !!

I placed the target board at 50 yards. Loaded up the Marlin .375 lever action. Proceeded to put shot after shot after shot after shot after shot into a 3" diameter Shoot-N-See target.
Then another 3" target, 5 shots in the target.
Then again ..... then again !!!!

Then I moved the target board out to 100 yards and placed a couple of 5" diameter Shoot-N-See targets, and several 3" targets. Nice nice groupings with the Marlin on the 5" targets. Exceptional groupings with the Remington on the 3" targets.

What a day !!!

Cheers,

Carl

pictures ?? I had to make a choice: more ammo or a camera .... so, no pictures.

Old Savage,
Ten-X Ammunition in Montclair does my reloading for me. He uses 36-gr of RL-7 with a Hornady 220-gr bullet.

Cheers,

Carl
