Ouch. It looked sort of fun for a minute, then not so much.

I told my wife, it's a good thing the wind wasn't blowing out to sea. No telling how many people would have got killed looking for the body.

We're doing OK. No problems here. I drove 485 miles yesterday from Plant city to Pompano, to Ft. Lauderdale and back to Plant City.

Today I did 430 from Plant City to Jax and back. I had a small tear in the roof of the trailer I was pulling and by the time I got to Jax I had a 4'X5" hole that looked like the top on sardine can the way it peeled back.

He is definitely a Darwin Award Candidate. Even if he lives, he should get an Honorable Mention.

That is as dumb as the guy who surfed in on a tsunami. IIRC, he smashed into a building a few hundred yards inland and they never recovered the body.

I was thinking that, why didn't he let go. I'm pretty sure he was able to think about letting go, don't ask me how I know...

Yes kite-surfers do wear a harness strapping them to the kite so they can can get airborne on the normally 15 knot winds that are ideal for this sport with only fools trying this in anything over 20 knots. Kailua my hometown, and where I presently reside is known as the kite-surfing, and windsurfing capitol of the world, and these idiots as always buzzing around as I try to peacefully fish Kailua Bay. I miss the good old days when these fool contraptions were not invented yet. :x

If you look at the video you'll see another kite in the background filled with wind but still near the ground so there was more than one fool attempting this stunt. I hope the next hurricane here weeds out the morons.
